LACMA Living with Art -- Art in the Home
On May 15th our 4th + 5th graders will be participating in a LACMA outreach program, "Living with Art". A museum educator will be visiting our classroom to lead discussion and projects centered around painting and drawing. Students will become familiar with American and European painting, sculpture, pottery and furniture; as well as pre-Columbian sculpture and art from Africa, China and Japan. Also, we will take two trips to LACMA to view and discuss their collections.
